Did You Know?

Through ISGPAC, you can make a campaign contribution that supports legislators who take a leadership role on soybean farmer priorities and policies.

In other words, this is a key opportunity for you to help advance initiatives that protect and increase the market value and opportunities for soybean farmers.

We advocate for issues that directly affect and impact soybean farmers’ ability to be profitable:

  • Transportation – leading efforts to ensure efficient transportation of soybeans and soy products, including bond financing for infrastructure, aligning logistics companies’ and farmers’ goals, container-on-barge facilitation and rehab of soy-focused roads & bridges
  • Animal agriculture expansion – championing soybean farmers’ No. 1 customer and supporting construction and expansion of animal ag operations plus efforts to build exports
  • GMO labeling – urging strong consideration and caution, as proposed labeling for biotech ingredients in food could drive cost increases that lead to a rise in food insecurity and hunger
  • And more, including biodiesel, trade, energy, taxes and agricultural research

As you know, for every legislator who understands agriculture and supports soybean issues, there is one who does not have experience with us and our industry. Even for those with an agricultural background, the rapidly changing landscape of the global market and production projections makes it challenging at best to stay up to date. That makes educating our legislators more vital than ever.

We want to ensure that our legislators not only listen but also help advocate issues in a way that benefits soybean farmers.

You can make a difference.

When you make a contribution of $100 or more to ISGPAC, recieve a free lapel pin as a small token of our appreciation.
